How to Enroll in Open Campus Concurrent Enrollment


Students UCSCNotify the Open Campus office immediately if you find that you cannot enroll by the Deadline to enroll. Withdraw by the appropriate deadline to receive a refund. Failure to withdraw by the deadline may result in a failing grade.

 


How To Enroll


1. Identify available class (es)
using the UCSC quarterly Schedule of Classes Catalog or at http://reg.ucsc.edu/soc. See Open Campus Restrictions regarding unit and course limitations.

2. Complete an Open Campus Concurrent application

3. Obtain instructor's signature
for each class-the instructor may not sign immediately and may wait to confirm there is space available. Some classes require a second signature. See Course Limitations on the Open Campus Restrictions.

4. Enroll in class
by faxing or mailing in completed and signed enrollment form with payment of course fees to the Student Services office at 2505 Augustine Drive, Suite 100, Santa Clara CA, 95054 by the Deadline to enroll.

You may also mail to the above address or fax to 408-342-0164. We must receive form by the Deadline to enroll.

You will receive a printed or emailed confirmation of enrollment. The instructor should be given a copy of the signed instructor approval form, to add you to the class roster.

5. Participate in class
including accessing course information online via WEBCT when appropriate (requires UCSC Sundry form be completed at time of enrollment). The instructor is mailed a grade request before the end of the class and asked to submit your grade to Open Campus(Student Services). Grade reports are mailed to students after the grades have been received and posted.

6. Review the Enrollment Schedule

to confirm key Open Campus dates. It is your responsibility to notify the Open Campus office immediately if you find that you cannot enroll by the Deadline to enroll. Withdraw by the appropriate deadline to receive a refund. Failure to withdraw by the deadline may result in a failing grade.


Enrollment Fees


There is a $55 dollar application fee due before enrollment processing can start. Enrollment fees are due at the time of enrollment.

The fee for undergraduate courses (numbered 1 to 199) is $184 per academic unit.

The fee for graduate and professional courses (numbered 200 and above) is $245 per academic unit.

The per unit enrollment fee is subject to change without notice. Enrollment after the Deadline to enroll will result in a late enrollment fee of $100.
