Personal Financial Planning

Financial Planning Profession Poised for High Growth
Personal financial advisors are projected to grow by 41 percent by 2016. This rate of increase is much faster than the average for all occupations. The reason is simple: millions of workers are expected to retire in the next 10 years. So well-trained advisors will be in increasing demand to assist them dealing with their financial needs.

Earn the Credential Financial Planning Clients Look for Most
Entering the profession as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ provides a substantial leg up, because it is the gold-standard credential more clients look for. However, earning this designation requires extensive knowledge and training. In the South Bay, the leading program to get you there is the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Certificate Program at UCSC Extension in Silicon Valley. We are the South Bay's only CFP Board-authorized provider offering classroom instruction.

Fulfill All CFP Board Education Requirements
Our Personal Financial Planning Program offers comprehensive grounding in everything you must study to fulfill the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Board of Standards’ education requirements. Our courses cover all the essential topics required for the CFP Board examination, including investments, risk management, employment benefits, retirement planning, income tax and estate planning.
