Python for Biology | BINF.X406

Python has quickly become one the core languages of bioinformatics with a large number of packages that support biological analysis. This course will use lectures and coding assignments to teach you how to use Python to query different APIs for biological data, how to effectively analyze the sequence and protein structure data that is retrieved, and how to create Python pipelines to automate these types of analyses, as well as make them reproducible. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to use Python to perform end-to-end analysis of biological data.
