How do I get started?

Great question. Complete and submit our refer-a-friend request form and one of our Student Services representatives will be in touch to explain next steps.

Alumni too?

Yes! Even if you haven't taken a course with Extension for several years, you are still considered a student. All current and former students of Extension are eligible to receive 10 percent savings when they refer a new student to Extension.

New Students

I am a new student who just learned of Extension through a friend. Can I enroll now or does my friend need to reach out first?

New students can get started right away. Complete and submit our refer-a-friend request form. On the form you’ll be asked to indicate if you are a new or current student. Once your form is received, one of our Student Services representatives will follow up with you to explain next steps.

I took a course with Extension many years ago. Can I register now as a new student?

New students cannot have taken a course with Extension previously.

ELIGIBILITY

Who is eligible for the Refer a Friend 10 percent savings?

Any student (former or current) who refers a new student to Extension is eligible to receive a 10 percent credit (and new students save too). Please note that new students must complete enrollment before current students can apply their 10 percent credit. UC Santa Cruz students and alumni who have not taken a class at Extension are eligible for the discount.

Does this promotion expire?

Nope! Refer a new student any time and collect your 10 percent savings.

Is this discount applicable to all courses?

All non third-party courses priced at more than $500 are eligible. In some cases, we partner with industry specialists to provide curriculum. Any course listed on our partner page is not eligible for the discount.
