You can use this form to submit a photo or you can email it directly to us at reachus@ucsc.edu.

A selfie taken with a mobile device is fine, just be sure to send it "actual size" rather than reducing it. Generally an 8"x10" works great.

FAQs for Student Testimonials

 

It could be a short comment that we can quote or a long blog or a video comment or a photo.

  • Time Commitment
    That's up to you. You can answer a few questions on Zoom or via email. Or take a little more time to tell your story for a blog or byserving on a panel discussion about a program for an info session.
  • Use of Your Name
    That's up to you. You can use your full name, first name, or initials.
  • Use of Image.
    Please send a photo of yourself if you can. Or come by the building if you want us to take your photo.

Some of the ways we may use your information include:

  • Internal discussions about what helps and doesn’t help our students.
  • Short anonymous testimonials We don’t use these too often, but sometimes we add these to the website or in marketing materials.
  • Student stories These are short, usually 500-word blogs that we write up after talking with you briefly about your experience at UCSC. Students are asked to review these and make sure they are accurate.

  • Onsite events: sharing student stories with prospective students

  • On the website: You can find student comments on the home page, international page, and some instructor and course pages.

  • Online Channels: Social Media Posts and Digital Marketing Ads

  • Brochures, flyers, and marketing materials: You can see student comments in our latest International Brochure

  • A blog post highlighting your journey.
