About

PHILIP ZIMAN, MBA, enjoyed a 30-year human resources career in global high tech. He most recently held the position of vice president of Global Human Resources at Nanometrics. Previous senior level HR positions include working at Bazaarvoice, Taleo, and Cypress Semiconductor. Ziman has bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University. He also attended Stanford University’s Executive Development Program. Ziman supports local youth sailing and religious non-profit organizations. He has served as chair of the Human Resources Management program since 2023.

This class meets simultaneously in a classroom and remotely via Zoom. Students are expected to attend and participate in the course, either in-person or remotely, during the days and times that are specified on the course schedule. Students attending remotely are also strongly encouraged to have their cameras on to get the most out of the remote learning experience. Students attending the class in-person are expected to bring a laptop to each class meeting.
