Y.C. WANG, BSEE, director of the Global Academic Program at Digi-Key Electronics, brings years of technical expertise in the FPGA and microcontroller industry to the classroom. Having worked in many roles including applications engineering, sales, marketing, and management, he has a broad view of the industry. He is a fan of the maker movement and has been a strong proponent of experiential engineering now popular in many engineering departments across the country. Wang brings this philosophy to the classroom, showing the practical side of a particular technology and leveraging the inverted learning pyramid to convey concepts across to his students.
