Join us for an evening of networking and insights featuring Vikram Sahai (Baskin Engineering M.S. `92), Co-Founder and CTO of Carbon Counts, and Nada Miljković (Digital Arts & New Media MFA `09), UCSC Crown College Lecturer and CIED Project Manager, as they share their perspectives on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Vikram Sahai (Baskin Engineering M.S. `92) Co-Founder and CTO, Carbon Counts
Vikram is a seasoned entrepreneur and software development professional using technology to drive transformative change. As the Co-Founder and CTO of Carbon Counts, Vikram is on a mission to inspire action against climate change. Carbon Counts' flagship game, EverForest, combines the power of play with environmental stewardship, enabling users to contribute to reforestation efforts in a fun gaming experience.
Before founding Carbon Counts, Vikram honed his technical expertise at Google, developing algorithms and machine-learning systems for Google Travel, Google.Org, and Google Search. He co-founded ELetter, Inc. and Viman Software, ventures focused on enterprise marketing and software asset tracking. Vikram co-taught the first Hacking 4 Oceans class at UCSC and served on UCSC's Foundation Board for 12 years. He enjoys traveling with his family, nature photography, and exploring the outdoors, channeling his love for nature into his professional endeavors.

Nada Miljković (DANM MFA, `13),
Nada is an educator, entrepreneur, artist-activist, and digital media strategist with over 20 years of experience in storytelling and technology-driven solutions. She brings a unique perspective to her teaching, having transitioned to academia after a 20-year career in project management within the construction industry. As a Continuing Lecturer at UC Santa Cruz’s Crown College, Nada has designed eight entrepreneurial classes open to all majors. As Project Manager for the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurial Development (CIED), she has been pivotal in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among undergraduates. Through CIED, she empowers students to launch startups and connects them with industry experts, mentors, and investors, promoting inclusive innovation through collaborations with academia, government, and business.
As founder of Artist on Art, co-founder of GetVirtual, Board Chair of the United Services Agency, and principal organizer and licensee holder for TEDxSanta Cruz, Nada empowers people, ideas, and communities. Her work blends creativity, entrepreneurship, and social change to inspire collaboration and meaningful impact.
