
Updates to the Lean Agile Project Management Specialization
As part of our ongoing effort to align our curricula with industry demand and better serve you, we've updated the Lean Agile Project and Program Management program in a few key ways.
AI-focused content
Several courses are now incorporating AI-focused content to address the growing demand for AI knowledge and its application in the project management field.
No change in credit totals
There is no change in the overall number of credits you need to earn for a certificate.
New Lean Agile program requirements
Students will need to complete four courses (6 units).
- 1 core course (1.5 units)
- 3 elective credit courses (4.5 units)
- End with the certificate review.
Other program changes
- Role of the Project Manager (PPMT.X400) has been retired as a prerequisite and replaced with Project Management Fundamentals (PPMT.X425), a new course.
- Agile Project Management Using Scrum (PPMT.X408 ), formerly a required course, is now offered as an elective.
- Agile Project Management Fundamentals (PPMT.X426) is a new required course.
Declared candidacy before Feb. 28, 2025?
Students who declared candidacy before Feb. 28, 2025, may follow the current requirements above or the former requirements that were in place when they declared. It's up to you!
If you have completed any of the discontinued elective courses in the past four years, you may still use them to fulfil the current elective requirement for the Lean Agile Project Management Specialization.
